A single take-profit number hides how brutal the downside is at leverage. This table lays every scenario side by side — profit, loss, ROE and the liquidation line — so nothing surprises you. Set your exits on the take-profit ladder calculator.

Seeing the whole payoff table before entry

A scenario table answers "what happens at every price" instead of just "what if I'm right." For a $2,000 long at 10x from $1.00: at $1.05 you're +$1,000 (+50% ROE), at $0.97 you're −$600, at $0.905 you're liquidated. Laying it out kills the vagueness that lets bad trades feel fine.

The asymmetry it exposes: check how much room exists on each side. If your realistic upside scenario is +6% and liquidation sits −9.5% away, the geometry is playable. If you're at 25x and liquidation is −3.5% away while your target needs +8%, you're asking the market to move twice as far in your favor as the distance it needs to kill you — and it only needs to do it once.

Run the table with fees and funding included for your expected hold time. Positions held days at high leverage often show a scenario table where even the "win small" rows are net negative after costs — better to learn that from the table than the balance.
