The reality check on moon targets
Any price prediction is really a market-cap prediction. Convert it and you'll see if it's plausible or fantasy. Compare with real caps using the market cap calculator.
"What if it reaches X's market cap"
The classic question — "what's DOGE at Bitcoin's market cap?" — has a one-line answer: target price = target market cap ÷ circulating supply. The calculator does the division; the value is in what the results teach.
Mostly they teach impossibility. A coin with 100B circulating supply "reaching $10" implies a trillion-dollar market cap — more than all but a handful of assets in human history. Framing price predictions as market-cap requirements filters out fantasy faster than any chart analysis.
The subtle trap is using circulating instead of fully diluted supply. A coin can legitimately hit the target cap while the price goes nowhere — if new supply unlocked along the way. For anything with under 50% of supply circulating, run the number against FDV too; that's the honest denominator for a multi-year thesis. The gap between the two answers is the dilution you're volunteering to absorb.
